Q. How did you hear about Faith Academy?
A. I heard about Faith Academy while I was serving at a children’s ministry with Jan Hochstetler. She told me about Faith Academy and I heard nothing but wonderful things so it encouraged me to come and check it out myself.
Q. Why have you chosen to work at Faith Academy?
A. I chose to work at Faith Academy because I have a heart for immigrant and underprivileged students and I believe the Lord has called me to be an advocate for them.
Q. What’s your favorite daily and/or annual activity at Faith?
A. I’m not sure yet, but I heard the Christmas event is super fun!
Q. What’s your hope/prayer for your scholars this year?
A. My hope and prayer for my scholars this year is that they believe that they can reach their God given purpose and to truly believe and understand their identity in Christ.
Q. What do you like to do when you’re not at Faith Academy?
A. When I’m not at Faith Academy, I like to be at the gym, hiking, or trying out a new recipe. Anything that keeps me active and moving!
Q. What’s your favorite restaurant in the area?
A. My favorite restaurant in the area is Iowa Pho or Basta. It really depends on what I’m in the mood for hahaha.
Q. What’s something about you that scholars might not expect? A. Before becoming a teacher I did the weather and I anchored for a small news station.
Q. What’s a scripture you tend to recount often?
A. I often visit Colossians 3:23 because I’m reminded that everything that I do is for the Lord even if it’s a small task.

Donate To Our Class
We are so thankful for your partnership with our Middle School Reading scholars! Unlike other private Christian schools that are tuition-based, Faith Academy is a fundraised-based Christian school that makes it possible for all families to be able to give their child an excellent Christian education. We seeking to raise $165,000 to fully fund our Middle School Reading class. We are seeking 33 partners to provide $5000 a year ($416.67 a month/$13.89 a day) to help us continue our mission to form servant leaders who transform the world around them through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
As a partner you will be invited to classroom events and field trips, including a classroom partner day. Additionally, you will receive a Middle School Reading class quarterly newsletter sharing highlights, updates, prayer requests, opportunities to volunteer, and more. Lastly, you will know that your investment is advancing Christ’s Kingdom now, and for generations to come as no other ministry in our city is able to have 6 hours a day of formative, Christ-centered education with scholars who may not otherwise be exposed to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
